This report displays pages with status code 404 - Not Found.
A 404 error page tells search engines and visitors that a page can not be found. This usually happens if you have changed your URLs over time, removed a few pages when you overhauled your website design, or were linked improperly by a third party page. 404 errors will not negatively impact your SEO in terms of ranking, but they can frustrate users and lower site viewership. Search engines don't tend to rank pages that provide a poor user experience. It is important to have custom 404 pages with recommended navigational options for your website visitors.
